Holy Men and Holy Women

This collection of essays, focuses on the substantial body of saints' lives in Anglo-Saxon literature with special reference to Aelfric. The aim of these three collections has been to stimulate scholarly and critical interest in OE prose, thus redirecting the energies of Anglo-Saxonists towards a large body of material that has had comparatively few interpreters.
