Karisa Tell received her MFA from UW-Milwaukee, where she worked closely with Liam Callanan and edited fiction for Cream City Review. Her debut short story, 'Escape Velocity,' won second place in The Masters Review's New Voices contest in 2020 and was UWM's 2019 recipient of the Sheila Roberts Fiction Award for best graduate student short story. She currently lives in Milwaukee and works as an editor for Yahoo.
