Based on a comprehensive description of how instructional supervision is actually practised and how it affects teachers, the authors' research shows effective instructional supervision to have such positive impacts on teaching and learning (and the lack of it to have such negative impacts) that no-one who reads this book will be able to justify the relegation of instructional leadership to the margins of educational administration.
