Dr. Ahmed A. M. Elnour is an experienced researcher specializing in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, biotechnology, and cancer biology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Food Science (1st class), a Master of Science degree (with excellence) in Analytical Chemistry, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology Engineering (awarded for his outstanding Ph.D. thesis). Dr. Elnour profoundly understands the scientific principles underlying biological chemistry. With a strong background in cancer biology, Dr. Elnour completed postdoctoral research in this field, further enhancing his expertise. He also shared his knowledge as a lecturer in biochemistry and food science at KU, Sudan, and as a part-time lecturer in biochemistry and molecular biology at West-Kordofan University (WKU), Sudan. Additionally, he has contributed to research efforts at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) as a Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDF) in cancer biology under the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) sponsorship. Throughout his 20-year career, Dr. Elnour honed his skills in academia and industry and established himself as an expert in biotechnology. He is renowned for his ability to lead research teams, devise innovative solutions to complex scientific challenges, and publish his findings in high-impact journals. Presently, Dr. Elnour is a senior researcher at the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology, University of Malaysia Pahang (UMP), where he leads research in biological chemistry and bioprocess engineering applications. One of Dr. Elnour's notable areas of expertise is green chemistry, which specifically focuses on plant bioactivity and phytochemistry. He has made significant contributions to the field, with extensive publications on the bioactivity of Gum Arabic using three-dimensional (3D) cell culture. Furthermore, he has a wealth of experience bridging the gap between academia and industry and developing biotechnological solutions for industrial platforms. Dr. Elnour's impressive research accomplishments and expertise make him an invaluable asset for any research team seeking to create innovative biotechnological solutions. His biochemistry, analytical chemistry, biotechnology, and cancer biology proficiencies enabled him to contribute significantly to various research endeavors . Notably, Dr. Elnour's field of specialization positively impacts multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG-1 (No Poverty), SDG-2 (Zero Hunger), SDG-3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG-4 (Quality Education), SDG-8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG-9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG-13 (Climate Action), and SDG-17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
