In 1949, Max Bill used his exhibition to conduct a fundamental discussion on the forms and content of product design. This led to the Swiss Werkbund's "Die Gute Form" campaign (1952-1958), which had many successors world-wide. Bill also influenced the foundation and curriculum of the Hochschule fur Gestaltung in Ulm. The original exhibition has survived intact and will pass into the design collection in the Zurich Museum fur Gestaltung after being shown there. The publication records all 100 display panels from the exhibition, and also planning and working material from associated fields.
