Ghost and Guardian

When Cylin is rescued by a stranger who calls himself an elf, she thinks he's insane. The battle for survival in the post-war wasteland leaves little room for fantastical myths of the past. But the longer she spends with Lucian in his forest and the village haven he shelters within it, the more she questions herself. Not simply because he possesses powers beyond those of any human, but because of the demons of his past that continue to haunt him.

When another elf reaches Forest Town, bearing with him news of the rest of Lucian's family, Lucian sets out to find them. Leaving the shelter of his home, he must navigate the wastelands and the monsters, human and otherwise, that stand in his way.

But most of all, he must hold at bay the monsters within his own mind before they overwhelm him.
