Getaway

Agnes Kelly left Dublin to escape her abusive partner Sean. She settled in Bermondsey South East London with her three young children, hoping that he wouldn't track her down. When she bumps into Jimmy Rafferty, a local crime boss, and a familiar face from Dublin, who promises to make sure that Sean doesn't terrorise her anymore, she doesn't realise that there are conditions attached to this promise. She avoids giving Jimmy an answer to his proposal of marriage, and when she finds a man she truly loves, she moves away, in fear of how he might react. When he discovers that she has just upped and left, he flies into a terrible rage, and this brings about a course of events that none of them expected.
