Sloan Evans and Robert Ambrose have airline tickets for a Caribbean vacation with their colleagues. It's possibly the most important vacation of their lives-

On the way to the boarding gate, Sloan attempts to confess her feelings about Rob, but distractions abort her opportunities. When Rob, the heart surgeon who works with her at the Marysville Clinic, misses the flight, she's tortured with remorse. Contrary to her misgivings, an unexpected situation bars Rob from boarding the plane. Determined to find her, he embarks on a Caribbean search with Detective Delroy, an ex-Marine and ex-police officer whose COPD and shoddy transportation hamper their efforts.
