Kelsey Sweetland is 14 years old. This is her second published children's book. Kelsey's mission for Elliot the Egret is to bring awareness to the issues facing birds and their habitats. She also wants children and parents grow a deeper affinity for our birds and nature. In Elliot the Egret you can see the current problems facing birds all over the world.

The generation reading this book is going to inherit a planet that is guided by the decisions that we make today. If we can start spreading awareness about birds and their environments we can begin to address them and change the future of planet Earth.
