He held senior positions: university president, deputy vice president, dean, and director of a K-12 school. He was a visiting scholar at universities in the USA and Canada, a consultant to UN agencies, and Senior Associate at Carnegie Endowment. A recipient of numerous awards, Faour is the author of books, monographs and articles on education, social values, demography, and conflict resolution.
