Discourse of Opportunity

This book focuses on the applications of interactive ethnography to the study of teaching and learning practices in various educative groups. Ten studies illustrate the approaches' power for exploring and describing how discourse in instructional situations creates or limits students' opportunities for learning and shapes students' and teachers' performances. Methods used include ethnography, conversation analysis, critical discourse analysis, and intertextual analysis.
