Immunological and molecular techniques have become increasingly utilized for the diagnosis of parasitic diseases. Despite this, veterinary practitioners across the globe continue to primarily depend on conventional methods, such as faecal and blood smear examinations. The rationale behind this is the long-standing principle of seeing is believing. Although these conventional techniques have been the standard for a long time, the application of immunological and molecular diagnostic methods is becoming increasingly prevalent. These modern techniques have the potential to be more sensitive, specific, and cost-effective than traditional methods.
