MICHAEL GRIMM is Professor of Economics at the University of G/ttingen, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. from IEP in Paris. He is also associated with the research institutes DIAL in Paris and DIW in Berlin. His research mainly focuses on problems related to income distribution and poverty in developing countries. STEPHAN KLASEN is Professor of Economics at the University of G/ttingen, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, and has since held positions at the World Bank, the University of Cambridge, UK, and the University of Munich.
