The minutes of the presidential meetings of the state administration of Saxony are the authoritative source for the work of the formally highest German decision-making body in Saxony in the period between its establishment by the occupying power in July 1945 and the formation of the government in December 1946. They form a central source for the early days of dictatorship implementation in the communist-occupied part of Germany. The annotated edition of the protocols, which is preceded by a comprehensive introduction, is intended to make the completely traditional sources available to science and beyond to those interested in history and politics.
