Cork Street Attack Grey Organisation

This is part of an ongoing project with the Grey Organisation archive, making this work available to a wider audience. Grey Organisation was an artist collective founded in London between 1983 and 1991. The GO showed in London, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo working in mediums of painting, sculpture, film and video. Most infamously, the GO staged an "art terrorist action," vandalizing the establishment art galleries on Cork St in central London with buckets of grey paint in protest at the galleries' lack of support for emerging artists.
