Amin Ghali is Professor Emeritus, Civil Engineering, at the University of Calgary, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and several other institutions. He practices consulting engineering and is an active member of the American Concrete Institute committees, including ACI 435, Deflection of Concrete Building Structures.Renaud Favre is Emeritus Professor at the Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland.
