Beauty Born of Pain contains four groupings of poetry. Secrets details the experience of an abusive marriage. Echoes deals with memories of childhood coming back once free of the relationship. Damage is about the lingering effects of the past on mind and body. The final section, Recovery, is about moving forward with hope and healing. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:Sally Quon is a disabled writer living in the Okanagan Valley of beautiful British Columbia, home of the Syilx people. She has been widely published in poetry and creative nonfiction anthologies, and her photographs have appeared in several prominent magazines.
