Schubert and his World

This is the first book of its kind on Schubert. Appearing at a time when interest in his life and compositions is greater than ever, it consists of several hundred biographical entries on Schubert's friends and acquaintances, and on the numerous persons with whom he became associated through his music. There are also a number of articles on later `Schubertians' who have greatly enriched our knowledge of his life and works.
