Dr. Mehrotra has a decade of research experience in the field of genetics of complex disorders like glaucoma, cancer and infectious diseases. Dr. Mehrotra is presently investigating the microbiome dysbiosis in PKDL and oral cancer. She has performed genetic association studies to explore the role of autophagy genes in modifying genetic susceptibility to oral cancer. She uses bioinformatic tools for performing pathway analysis and finding hub genes in different solid tumors that have the potential to be developed as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers. She has published 24 research articles in peer reviewed international journals and 4 book chapters with reputed publishers. She has published her research work in the prestigious international journals such as the Nature Genetics, Journal of Cellular Physiology, Frontiers in Cellular Infection and Microbiology etc. Dr. Vijay Kumar Prajapati is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Delhi South Campus, New Delhi, India. He specializes in cell-death research, parasitology, and therapeutic developments for infectious diseases. He has published extensively in international journals and contributed chapters to reputable publishers. He is a recipient of the INSA Medal for Young Scientist from the Indian National Science Academy and an Associate of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru. His work has appeared in leading journals spanning infectious diseases and cellular physiology, reflecting a high scholarly impact and a broad research portfolio.
