Nicholas Sekunda studied Ancient History and Archaeology at Manchester University, and took his Ph.D. in 1981. He has taken part in archaeological excavations in Poland, Iran and Greece and published numerous books and academic articles. He is currently teaching at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology in Torun, Poland. Adam Hook studied graphic design at art college and began his illustrating career in 1983.
