Earth and Ground both are words of English language, whose general meaning (conclusion) is from Hindi words – Bhu (Land), Bhumi (Land), Dhara (Land), Jameen(Ground), Mittee (soil), Pruthvee (Earth), Dharatee (Earth), Chhiti (Ground).  Earthing (Grounding) refers to contact with the Earth (Ground), which is called earth connection/ground connection. Earthing system is the means by which electrical equipments are kept safe and human beings, living beings and property are also safe.
