Yvonne Captain is Associate Professor of Latin American and International Affairs at George Washington University, USA. In addition to Africa and its diasporas, her research focuses on South-South national relationships in Africa and Latin America.Papa Sow is Senior Researcher at the Nordic Africa Institute, Sweden. His research focuses on migration, demography, climate change, biodiversity, and the anthropology of the body in Africa.Elina Marmer is a lecturer at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Her research focuses on racism and education, particularly with regard to hegemonic knowledge production and its impact on students of African descent in Germany.
