Cadence

Cadence is the debut collection of poems by Connecticut native, Sharon Arsego. Broken into three sections, Nature, Nurture, and Nuggets, Cadence uses free form, Haiku and Haiku adjacent poetry styles with themes and images reflecting on nature, relationships, self-awareness, and making one's way in life. Cadence is meant to be an approachable, relatable approach to poetry, and an exercise in being present in nature and with oneself. Active participation in open mic nights and recent events, like Covid-19, have provided Arsego with a renewed clarity, jump starting her long held desire to publish. Through this thirty-year process of becoming, Cadence arrives as an extension of the author herself. Time spent within the pages of this book is time spent with the artist, and she welcomes your company.
