The Silver Hound and Other Songs

This volume contains solo vocal works and duets composed over the past 30 years and featured on the Mtier Records CD, The Silver Hound and Other Songs by Betty Roe (MSV 28566).



These songs represent a late flowering of Roe's compositional style for concert pieces, creating a natural melodic flow and her characteristic inclusion of elements from her popular music theatre and cabaret works into her art songs.



The songs included are; In a Garden, Two Garden Songs, Magnificat, The Silver Hound, The Fair Singer, Three Songs for Graham, Three Hardy Conversations, The Life that I Have, Autumn's Legacy and Three Celtic Songs.
