The Rosary Boys

It's a trend that is unfortunately on the incline: the growth of gangs and gang-related violence in the United States. Reverend Al Hopcus saw this particular trend firsthand in his years as a probation officer for juveniles in California, particularly among gang members in Los Angeles County. He believes that prayer works and God can do the impossible, which is for these gang members to surrender to Jesus. His new, nonfiction book, The Rosary Boys, chronicles his experiences during his probation career, utilizing a combined sociological and Christian perspective to define the anatomy of a gang and Satan's power over these lost individuals. Rev. Al also discusses the blindness of society towards gangs and violence in society overall, expressing that what society needs is God back in control and Christians to minister to others about Jesus's redeeming blood. Spiritual warfare is prevalent everywhere, and the time is now to act.
