Canola is an oil seed crop belongs to the family Brassicaceae and it is a specific type of rapeseed associated with high quality oil and meal. Its seeds contain about 40-44% oil and the meal contains about 37% protein after oil extraction.External application of amino acids is well known as a mean to increase yield and overall quality of crops. The importance of antioxidants resulted from their physiological role in protecting key cell components from damaging by neutralizing or preventing the free radicals as reducing agents, free radical scavenger, complexers of prooxidant metals and as a singlet oxygen quenchers The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of foliar application of some amino acids(tryptophan and methionine) and antioxidants (ascorbic acid and oxalic acid) on certain morphological, anatomical characters, chemical constituents as well as yield and its components of canola plant (Brassica napus L. cv. Serw 4). Foliar application of all used treatments resulted in an increase in all studied characters. Among all used treatments, tryptophan, in general, had the greatest effect on all studied characters.
