Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for family to celebrate all the blessings we have received!Be thankful for everything that you have every day. Enjoy the time with family and for all the best things that we have and received. It is a national holiday and celebrated on different days. Canada celebrates the harvest and gives thanks for the Earth's bounty in October, usually on the 2nd Monday. In the USA, they celebrated it on the third Thursday of November. Americans model their feast after the English colonists (Piligrim's) with the tradition of eating turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. Canadians eat the same type of food to celebrate this holiday. Children will learn about the history of Thanksgiving and enjoy the story and activities.
