Take Me With You

In Southern California, in the s, the fateful meeting of Henry, a troubled teen accused of assault, and Dr. R, the compassionate psychiatrist who sees the good in him, propels both men onto separate journeys to overcome the pain and loss of their pasts and find their place in the world.

Henry, tormented by his inability to fit in, is caught between his impulse to live alone in the desert with his yearning to be of service, to be loved, and to belong. Dr. R, haunted by memories from battle during World War II, risks both his marriage and his career to confront and challenge the assumptions and prevailing treatments for psychiatric care.

Through unexpected loss, betrayal, and serendipitous encounters, both men face their deepest fears, question their assumptions, and find deeper meaning in the stories of their lives.
