Valdeep Saini, PhD is Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. His primary research interest is the translation of basic behavioral sciences to areas of societal importance. His work covers a broad spectrum of topics as he works with both humans and animals to better understand the lives of organisms. He serves on the editorial boards of several journals in the fields of behavior analysis and psychology and has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers in more than 10 different behavioral and/or psychology journals. These publications span the scope of clinical behavior therapy, issues of societal importance, the experimental analysis of behavior, and applied animal behavior. He is also a co-editor of the book Behavior Analysis: Translational Perspectives and Clinical Practice. He is a former recipient of the Organizational Behavior Management Network Innovative Research Award and the Ontario Association for Behavior Analysis Outstanding Researcher Award. Outside of his academic role, he enjoys outdoor winter activities, including hockey and snowboarding.
