Grape (Vitis spp.) is the fruit that is being consumed worldwide. It is the golden coin with two sides, as it is used as table grapes for raw consumption and as wine variety used for making wine. Grapes contain high medicinal value like antiaging property and it is having a capacity to fight with cancer. The proteomic approach to grape berries provides a great deal of information which is likely to enhance our understanding of the effects of different rootstocks on the ripening process as the total abundance of protein. This is likely to be a powerful tool for characterizing the events during skin ripening, making it possible to identify a specific ripening marker for this tissue as well as further developmental stages of grape berry. The physiology of grapevine has already suffered from significant impacts of global climate change in recent decades, so there must be strong need of generating stress tolerant plant. The concept of metabolite profiling allows us to study in detail. It provides important information for characterization of grape and wine typicity and quality. This small book covers basic proteomics and metabolomics regarding table grape Thompson seedless.
