The reign of Pope Urban II (1088-1099) is often seen as a turning-point in the period of medieval history known as the Gregorian Reform. Yet until now little of the source material has been available in modern critical editions. This volume presents for the first time a substantial mass of source material, edited and translated by two leading scholars of the period.
