Ceres, the Goddess of the Harvest, has a daughter, Persephone, who at 16 is kidnapped by Dis, God of the Underworld. In despair Ceres neglects her duties, and humanity is in danger of starvation. Based on the Greek myth, this play for children is simple to stage and deals with relevant themes.
