This is the personal story of a psychologist living with an emotionally abusive partner and her struggles, both personal and institutional, in leaving. When it came to her personal life however, her professional credentials as a clinical psychologist and clinical social worker did not help her to avoid entering into an emotionally-controlling relationship.
