The study of medieval Scandinavian society necessarily involves learning Norse language. Its vocabulary should be considered a vestige of the past as much as archaeological artefacts. Thus Le Parler Viking was born of out a desire to catalogue in a simple and didactic way the key words of medieval Scandinavian society. By collecting these words in one place, the author wants to offer a valuable tool towards the discovery of the fascinating ancient and medieval Scandinavian society . The author Grgory Cattaneo obtained a PhD in medieval history at the Paris VI Sorbonne and Iceland University.
