Gallium Arsenide Technology in Europe

The strategic nature of GaAs technology has attracted heavy investment from companies in information technology, communication and defence, as well as from semiconductor manufacturers. To gather the European activities fragmented amongst various research groups, a number of collaborative projects were established in 1984 under ESPRIT (European Strategic Programme for Research on Information Technology). This book illustrates some of the recent collaborative activities pursued under various ESPRIT GaAs projects, including applications, MMICs, devices and circuit modelling.
