The death of her firstborn child, who was murdered in the city of Poughkeepsie on August 25, 2010, by one of his childhood friends, was Theresa Weston's inspiration for writing this book. What was crazy was her son had sickle cell anemia. She was living life praying his illness wouldn't take him away from her. At the age of twenty-five years old, he was shot and killed by the hands of a man. Theresa prays her book gives others the strength to live life in peace.
