The Value Aspects of Motivation in Education

This special issue is devoted to the value aspects of motivated learning. The articles raise numerous issues that might be pursued in developing a base of knowledge about the value aspects of motivation and suggest numerous theoretical concepts and principles that might be employed in addressing those issues. These articles are brought together in the hope that they will stimulate the development of a research literature in this area that will complement the rich literature that already exists on its expectancy aspects.
