Based on Caroline von Heydebrand's reader for the first Stuttgart Waldorf school, Der Sonne Licht, the book brings together traditional stories from around the world, including some by Rudolf Steiner, songs in the mood of the fifth, and poems which bring the full joy of the English language to young children. The collection is lightly illustrated by acclaimed Scherenschnitte (paper-cutting) artist, Pamela Dalton.
