The Parables and Similes of the Rabbis

First published in 1927, this second edition of a 1924 volume gathers together and deals with Rabbinic metaphors, similes and parables taken from agricultural and pastoral life. The selections were taken from original Rabbinic literature and translated into English for this volume, attempting to preserve the distinctive characteristics of the Talmudic style.
