The Outpouring

Earthquakes ripped apart the earth beneath them; typhoons and their following mudslides enveloped entire regions. Nuclear war has all but obliterated civilization as it once was. Military forces police the streets where the residue of order remains, quelling the violent outbursts coming from crumbled homes, tent cities, and makeshift bunkers filled with the thousands of survivors. There, they wait for instruction, for help, for civilization to make its return-they wait for hope.
Amidst the chaos stands a refuge-a church-where the only ones who can restore the world have gathered, seemingly pulled by invisible forces. They have survived the Outpouring, and now they are discovering the miraculous truth: what they thought made them misfits, were actually their spiritual gifts. Jenisis has always been haunted by demons, Chris's life has been filled with visions of winged men and women, and Hoshi's mind fills with the most intimate details about total strangers. Together, with others just like them, they are escorted to another world to fight for the human race.
