The Only One Zoo

On September, 1, 1914, Martha, the last known living passenger pigeon died in the Cincinnati Zoo – she was the “only one” left on earth.

Professor Thumbknuckle began wondering about how many “only ones” we lose every year. What if we put them into an “Only One Zoo” so we could see them before they disappeared forever?

This frolicking book, with wonderful illustrations, takes us through an imaginary “Only One Zoo” where we can see these unique “only ones” before they are all gone.

The Professor hopes that this visit will make us all aware of how fragile our planet really is.
