The mystery is revealed through a series of gatherings called KIVAs that provide not only narrative and dialogue among and between animals, but also provides portals to the realm of the living. Thus, much like the indigenous communities of North America, the KIVA is a gathering place where the physical and spiritual realms intertwine over space and time revealed through portals of reality. The animals are the pets that lived with and served Sonny Boy during his life.
