The Impact of the Nursing Protocol of Care on Pregnancy Induced Hypertension

Pregnancy-induced hypertension is a significant rise in blood pressure during pregnancy, occurring after 20 weeks. It includes gestational hypertension, mild pre-eclampsia, severe preeclampsia, and eclampsia. So more, women with PIH disorders may progress from mild diseases to more conditions that are serious.PIH is a major pregnancy complication associated with premature delivery, intra-uterine growth retardation, abruptio placentae, and intrauterine death, as well as maternal morbidity and mortality. Poor pregnancy outcomes that are associated with lack of anti-natal care follow up and delayed recognition and intervention in the affected mothers aggravate the situation.
