The Fuzzy i

An i is fuzzy about who it is because it is transparent, while its friends A, E O, U and Sometimes Y all have their own distinct color.  While playing at making words with some consonants, the i becomes frustrated because it  feels it cannot be seen and quits.  The other vowels discover some words are impossible to make without the i.  As the i imagines all the different colors it wants to be, it also imagines all the things it wants.  And what it wants comes to the i, sticking to it, making the i very hard to see.  It is now a fuzzy i.  The i realizes that it is not about what color it is or what it has that makes it a unique i.  The I is perfect just the way it is. 

The Fuzzy i is the third children's book by author and illustrato Jennie Hamel.  Jennie's engaging style of hand drawn illustrations and simple cartoon characters delights children of all ages.  The Fuzzy i is a "reading to" book for children ages 3 to 6 and all children who are learning about vowels and consonants.  The Fuzzy i is also a teaching story about how to be comfortable being oneself and being ok to be different and "me."    There are twenty three short reading pages with illustrations makeing The Fuzzy i  perfect for bedtime reading or any "reading to" time for both for parents and grandparents.
