In the mountains of Bighorn, Wyoming, police discover the body of a middle-aged female in a remote area of Tongue River Canyon. Beside her charred remains, a block of wood, a silver bell, and a set of rosary beads.

When two more bodies turn up, authorities believe it to be the work of a copycat-an admirer the serial killer known as 'The Apostle'. After targeting the Callahan family, leaving a trail of blood and tears in the mountains of Virginia, the Apostle vanished.
