This study examined the spatial variations in temperature and relative humidity; assessed spatial variation in thermal comfort in Southwest Nigeria between 1960 and 2013; and assessed the responses of inhabitants of selected medium-sized settlements (Eruwa in the guinea savannah and Ile-Ife in tropical rainforest eco-climatic zones) to thermal stress. These were with a view to determining the thermal comfort level for the study area. Both primary and secondary data were be used for this study. The primary data was obtained with a semi-structured questionnaire which was administered to the sample population of selected settlements in Ile-Ife and Eruwa. The secondary data includes temperature, relative humidity and thermal comfort indices(relative strain index, effective temperature index and dewpoint temperature).
