The Best of Squiffy Gnu 2020

'Squiffy Gnu' began as a Facebook Group with regular prompts from in-house and guest poets, and quickly developed into a supportive writing community across the UK, and further afield. The name is an imaginary rhyming slang parallel for Jo Bell's very successful '52' project, which pioneered the model used by the group. During 2020, members were invited to write poems in response to twenty universal themes ranging from "Passion" to "Taste and Smell", and from "Childhood" to "Armed Conflict". Sixty of the best poems selected by Sarah L. Dixon (aka "The Quiet Compre") are presented in this anthology.
