A young woman comes of age, as she navigates the turbulent political currents of 1954-1955 Iran while the underground Tudeh (communist) party unravels.  

She discovers that the man she loves is facing the death sentence for his politics and resolves to save him, negotiating with the powerful men who can change her destiny.  

Through her story, we gain insight into the ideals, passions and experiences of the people who lived and died to shape a critical period of modern Iranian history … with great love and dignity despite terrible odds.
