Taste of Dark Blue

The Covid pandemic: an extraordinary time for everyone. The first lockdown of 2020 brought the world to a halt. For some, it meant a time to get closer to family. For others, the nightmare of domestic abuse. Israeli artist Tali Neeman Sabo and British poet Vivienne Vermes shared their work over the Internet. They found echoes in each other's stories: it was as if each painting found a poem, and each poem found a painting. They put together this book, expressing in words and in art the joy and pain of being a woman. Proceeds fromThe Taste of Dark Bluewill go to victims of domestic violence, the large majority of whom are women.
