Summability Methods and Its Applications

The non-ending span of space, the ever lasting stream of time and the non-terminating chain of counting numbers are some of the realities that inevitably lead to the concept of unattainable limitless infinity. With the introduction of the operations of arithmetic in the domain of numbers, there emerged the concept of infinite series. In 1821, Cauchy clearly defined the sum of an infinite series based on the concept of limit developed by him.
